Role of institutional officers regarding Environmental records

What is expected of environmental officers working in regulated institutions with regard to environmental record keeping and liaising with NEMA?


1. Ensure all records are kept as prescribed by NEMA
2. Update records regularly
3. Avail records to an environmental inspector when he/she inspects the institution
4. Transmit the records annually to NEMA or its designated representative to be received not later than one month after the end of each calendar year.
